SVTT has program services and eligible work activities that support each of its four (4) purposes.

1. Provide assistance to needy families so that children may be cared for in their own homes or in the homes of relatives;
   • Monthly cash assistance grant
   • Childcare subsidy
   • Crisis intervention
   • Domestic violence, substance abuse and mental health counseling and education related to rehabilitation
   • Substance abuse and mental health services
   • Non-recurring emergency assistance
   • Non-custodian parental job related educational, training or support services to enhance non-custodial parent to obtain work and provide child support and other financial assistance to their children
   • Culturally appropriate wellness activities
   • Parenting training and support
   • Family management skill building



2. End the dependence of needy parents on government benefits by promoting job preparation, work and marriage;

3. Reduce the incidence of unmarried pregnancies;

4. Encourage the formation and maintenance of two parent families.
