The Election Board is established in the Constitution and charged with the responsibility to act independently in all elections involving the voting of the General Council members. The Election Board has 5 members that are voted into office by the General Council. Like the Tribal Council, the terms of the Election Board members are staggered to ensure continuity of the process. The Board follows directives on how to conduct elections found in both the Constitution and the Election Ordinance found in Title 2 of the Tribal Code.
