Like all sovereign nations the Tribe has adopted a Constitution. This document sets forth the powers reserved to the General Council, the powers entrusted in the Tribal Council, and other general parameters under which the tribe is expected to conduct its affairs.   The Constitution also embodies the right of sovereign immunity, a right that is reserved to sovereign nations.
